Here’s what happened when a Zambian food giant came to us to brand and launch their range of ‘the largest lollipops on the continent’.
Loxodonta - the genus of the African elephant, was their inspiration behind the name. Naturally, we decided to retain that in our design language as well.
We gave the name a big, fluffy font, rounded it well, and designed the ‘O’ to double up as a lollipop. This ensures that the logo clearly explains what the brand is about.
For the packaging, we decided to use bright, popping colours, and showcased our beloved Loxo having the time of his life in different scenarios. We created the backgrounds for his playfulness using elements of the various flavours, so that consumers can identify the flavour from a distance, rather than having to pick it up and read.
This way, we captured the mood and lightheartedness of candy, and of course, created a packaging range that stands out on any shelf in any store.
